About Neuschwanstein Castle

Neuschwanstein Castle a 19th-century palace above the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria, Germany. King Ludwig II of Bavaria paid for the castle from his personal fortune in honour of Richard Wagner. The castle was intended to be used as a residence for the King until his death in 1886. After his death, the castle was opened to public. Since its opening, more than 61 million people have visited the castle.
